Isil Isler

Research Associate

Isil Isler recently graduated from the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is working as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Her interests include early algebra, reasoning, and proof in the elementary and middle grades, as well as elementary teachers` conceptions of proof. She has been a project assistant in WCER since 2010, worked on “Developing Algebra-Ready Students for Middle School: Exploring the Impact of Early Algebra.” She is currently working on “Collaborative Research: The Impact of Early Algebra on Students' Algebra-Readiness,” which is built on the former DRK–12 project, and leaded by Eric Knuth, Maria Blanton and Ana Stephens.
