Alisa Rhoads
Professional Learning Specialist

Alisa Rhoads comes to WIDA with twenty-five years of experience as a multilingual educator in Arizona, Brazil, Mexico, and South Carolina. Alisa has been a mainstream classroom teacher, K-12 ESOL pull-out, push-in, and co-teacher. She has training in literacy, Student Centered Coaching, Common Core Standards, Mathematics Design Collaborative, and is a SIOP Trainer. Most recently, she was a state ESOL Instructional Coach in South Carolina and has delivered professional learning in the U.S. and internationally on various topics. Alisa studied at the University of Arizona and received her B.A. in Elementary Education and M.A. in Multicultural Bilingual Education. Alisa is married and has two daughters. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family at the beach, traveling, and reading.
