WIDA State Relations Specialist
Xatli supports SEAs in learning about WIDA and helping them maximize their consortium membership benefits. Xatli has 18+ years of experience in K-12 and postsecondary academic settings in Colombia and the United States. She served as a Multilingual Learner/Title III Consultant at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. In this role, she provided leadership for standards implementation, guidance to LEAs and charter schools on state and federal compliance, and support for legislative and grant-related programs, initiatives, and reporting requirements.
Xatli is a Certified Public Manager (CPM). She holds an M.A. in Educational Technology from North Carolina Central University and an M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from North Carolina Greensboro College. She is currently an ASCD Champion in Education. Her impact plan focuses on building educator voice and leadership capacity through communities of practice.
