Joyce has been with the Center on Education and Work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Education, working in CEW’s main office since Nov 1997. She started at CEW as a program assistant providing administrative support for the Center’s Director and Assistant Director and other CEW staff as needed. Prior to joining CEW, she worked at DWD. Currently, Joyce is CEW’s Financial Specialist. Some of her duties include processing direct payments and payment-to-individuals reports, preparing travel authorizations and expense reports, is the purchasing cards holder, prepares invoices for schools and organizations (users of Wisconsin Careers’ CareerLocker), then processes, tracks and records payments, maintains various accurate up-to-date computer and paper files, and completes other office support requests as needed. Additionally, she furnishes support for CEW’s professional development workshops. Since CEW’s merger with WCER, she also provides administrative support to projects assigned through WCER Business Office, preparing travel authorizations and expense reports and more.
